Description

First light of my new newtonian astrography, with the most critical parts being brazillian and assembled here.

Optics were made some years ago by brazillian ATM Sandro Coletti, whom today only makes entry-level 115mm telescopes to sell for begginer observers. He made mirrors of several sizes and is known for making high quality optics that get near branded fancy telescopes in sharpness, but he doesn't make bigger than 115mm anymore because it's not lucrative for him, making this telescope very unique and rare. There shouldn't be more than between 5 and 10 mirrors like this in Brazil.

The carbon fiber tube was made by Herik, an ATM as well, but focused on making carbon fiber tubes for special telescopes, like this one. He also was responsable for assembling the tube the way I wanted and improve the OTA mechanics. His work is fantastic and made the tube loose almost half of the weight it had when it was metal.

Le Le was responsable for selling me upgrade parts from his store Fóton Astro for the project.

Alexandre Fagundes is using the telescope and is on control of the targets, including this Orion Nebula. Thanks for letting me test the telescope with your equipment!

Thanks to all that took part of  this project!
