Description

NGC 2903 is an isolated barred spiral galaxy in the equatorial constellation of Leo, positioned about 1.5° due south of Lambda Leonis.
This field galaxy is located about 30 million light-years away from Earth, and is a member of the Virgo Supercluster.  Just a little smaller than our own Milky Way, NGC 2903 is about 80,000 light-years across.

This image was acquired with the Planewave CDK24 telescope and FLI PL09000 CCD-camera from Telescope Live in El Sauce Observatory, Chile.

Total integration time 300 minutes
RGB 10 subs of 600s with each filter.
FOV 32' x 32' (0.68"/px)
