The Helix (Eye of God) Nebula - NGC 7293
This is the 4th time I've shot this target. This Helix is a planetary nebula that has a single star at the center of the nebula. This was shot on my new Olympus OM-D EM1 Mark III Camera back.
I added over 160 images - 25 from last night - and over 136 from 3 other shoots in 2019 of the same target. This is one of the best versions of the Helix I've made to date.
It's a relatively bright deep-sky object (DSO).
This object was processed in a different mode than previous DSO's I've shot, leveraging a new routine called StarNet++ which separates the stars from the nebula which allows for a much easier means of processing the nebula - then when satisfied with the results, you merge the stars back with the nebula. A much easier processing routine.
