Description

The Cocoon Nebula is an emission/reflection nebula located 2,500ly away in the rich constellation of Cygnus. Also quite prominently shown is the dark nebula Barnard 168.

It was a somewhat disappointing imaging evening as clouds were rolling by all evening long. I had captured greater than 7h of data but I had to pare it down to a mere 3-hours of usable frames

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this one and as always, comments and criticism are always welcome!

CS,

Mike

Description: I was the very fortunate recipient of some great constructive criticism along with suggestions from two elite imagers. So this revision reflects that put to use... I think the stars are much better and the color, generally is better. Thanks to those guys...
