I really love this area of the night sky! The Cone Nebula and the Christmas Tree Cluster were both discovered by William Herschel , The cluster in 1784 and the nebula in 1785. The Cluster spans some 20 light years, and lies about 2,600 light years away.
I captured the L-eXtreme data from my Bortle 7 backyard, and the UvIr data from the Bortle 4 dark site. Hope you like it. Mike
