PixInsight:
Weighted Batch Preprocessing.
Channel Combination,
Automatic Background Extraction.
Histogram transformation.
Starnet++ remove stars, star mask, Morphological transformation to stars. Export as tiff.
Range selection mask to image.
SCNR, Green, Average neutral.
Color Mask, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow.
Curves Transformation, L, R…K, S, C.
Export image as tiff,
Photoshop 2020:
Open 2 tiff images,
Blend stars layer as screen.
New adjustment layer, threshold, color sampler tool, find the brightest and the darkest points in the image.
Curves, Red, Green, Blue, separately, use the sample color RGB info numbers as a reference to bring them around the same values.
Levels, Red, Green, Blue, separately.
Topaz DeNoise, around 10-15%.
Color range highlights, contrast the target.
Color range shadows, boost the background.
Camera raw filter, adjust Texture, Clarity, Noise reduction, Color noise reduction, Sharpening, Color Mixer HSL colors.
Topaz Sharpen, around 10-15%
Channel Mixer to fix stars bloating, if any.
Patch tool to fix Starnet++ debris, if any.
Export as tiff.
PixInsight:
SCNR, Green, Average neutral, if needed.
While processing, I may go back and forth many times between PixInsight and Photoshop for many reasons.
