Description

Sh2-216 (left) is the closest planetary nebula to us, at only about 400 light years away. It is very faint and a real challenge to capture. Sh2-221 (right) is a supernova remnant, but far more distant. This field of view is almost 5 degrees wide--these are really large objects in the sky.
