Imaged the region around the Bubble Nebula (Sh2-162) that includes the cluster M52 and the Lobster Claw (Sh2-157, barely visible at the top, right edge of the frame) on the nights of November 16 & December 5, 2019. This image was generated by combining the narrowband Ha and RGB data.
I tried two different approaches in PixInsight to generate the NBRGB composite. My go to script is NBRGBCombination. I've had good luck with the AIP multichannel synthesis scripts for bicolor images, so this time I also tried the HaRVB-AIP script, and boy there was a big difference. I much preferred the result from the HaRVB-AIP script which in general had much more 'natural' looking colors. Will have to go back and revisit some of my other NBRGB images using this script...
Imaged with WO GT81 at F4.7 (382 mm focal length) using Flat6A II field flattener/0.8x reducer, Optolong L-Enhance dual narrowband and IDAS LPS-D1 filters, and full spectrum modified Nikon D5300.
