Description

Images taken in truly dantesque conditions... I must admit that I have never been so cold, even when traveling beyond the Arctic Circle! The equipment and the bodies have been put to their limits! Indeed, the temperatures went down to -25°C with gusts of wind at 60-70km/h so it felt around -40°C...
I cling to the railing of the pontoon so as not to move, I didn't want to redo the pose in the face of this very strong wind.
On this image, we guess the Milky Way and its nebulae in pink tones. Light pollution is still very present in the valley, without it it would have been possible to distinguish many more details in the night sky. I hope that municipalities will move towards more energy sobriety in the future, for the benefit of people and nature in general.
Despite the cold bites, I took advantage of the magic of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre under the snow and will long remember the majesty of these landscapes!!!

Pic du Midi de Bigorre, France.
