Description

The Spaghetti Nebula and its dimmer neighbors (including the very dim planetary Pu 1) as a deep wide-field, imaged over two nights Sept. 22nd and 23rd. Other objects in the field include LBN 827 (DG 84), Czernik 23 and OCL 433.

This was a test session to see how well the ASI6200MM-Pro handles long exposures, and its performance when pushing gain to 200 at 1x1. Star halos are due to residual wildfire smoke and haze, not the equipment. That's nebulosity, not amp glow, in the lower left corner.

I have star quality issues in the corners of this image and await a more precisely adjustable tilt corrector to see how far I can push the quality of a full frame image from this astrograph. Nonetheless this result is very satisfying.

Update: I've posted an HaOIII bi-color version at https://www.astrobin.com/mx1jg6/0/
