Description

This Astrobin Debut Object is a planetary nebula located in the constellation of Cygnus at a declination of +51 degrees.  It was discovered by Ronald Weinberger and is also known as PN G091.6+01.8.  My collection of Weinberger PNe are shown here.

I could not find any information on this PN, including magnitude or distance.  If it is the typical PN diameter of 2 light years, it is located 12,000 light years away. The PN signal is dominated by HII and I didn’t even both collecting OIII after seeing the first sub.

In addition to the bright torus ring, short extensions left and right are faintly visible.  The torus is slightly brightened at top and bottom.  This PN looks similar to many others such as Abell 13 and Abell 80.
