Description

Initially this was just going to be an image of NGC3079. However, a bit of research into the FOV showed that it contained the Twin Quasar gravitational lens. An inspection of the image actually showed the lens, although not in much detail. To accent the lens object, an insert was created using the Hubble Space Telescope published image (https://www.nasa.gov/content/goddard/hubble-hubble-seeing-double/#.YgwxQt_MKBR)(Credit:ESA/NASA).

My image of NGC3079 and the Twin Quasar is not dramatic in itself. But it is unusual for a ground-based amateur imager to be able to capture and identify an image of a gravitational lens object. And the HST detail doesn't hurt either.
