Description

To compose this image I used Photoshop CS5 with three layers:

SHO as background layer

RGB as darken layer with 65% opacity

RGB stars only as screen layer with 100% opacity

Captured over 19 nights 11/11/2013, 11/25/2013, 11/26/2013, 11/27/2013, 11/30/2013, 12/01/2013, 12/02/2013, 12/03/2013, 12/04/2013, 12/05/2013, 12/07/2013, 12/08/2013, 12/09/2013, 12/10/2013, 12/11/2013, 12/12/2013, 12/13/2013, 12/15/2013, and 12/16/2013 with Takahashi FSQ106ED @f/5 530mm focal length with Apogee Alta U8300 monochrome and Astrodon H-a, SII, OIII 5nm narrowband filters and Astrodon TrueBalance RGB filters.

77 x 1200s H-a unbinned = 25h40m

59 x 1200s OIII unbinned = 19h40m

62 x 1200S SII unbinned = 20h40

65 x 300s Red binning 2x2 = 5h25

66 x 300s Green binning 2x2 = 5h30

66 x 300s Blue binning 2x2 = 5h30

Total exposure time used to build this image = 82h25m

Total cumulated capture time over 19 nights with all filters = 119h30m

Software: MaximDL to capture, calibrate, register, normalize, data reject and combine - Straton for stars removal - Photoshop CS5 and PixInsight for HDR processing and non-linear streching and color combine.
