Description

The star HD 227018 with Spectral type O6.5 in the middle of the tulip is energyzing the blue OIII and orange colored HII and SII emissions. On the right of the Tulip nebula  is CygnusX-1, the brightest X-ray source of the constellation, which was discovered in the middle of the '60s. It consists of a bright blue star (HDE 226868) that is generating a pair of relativistic jets, that are not visible. These interact with the dense interstellar material producing the blue curved bow shock structure.
