Description

In the middle of Cygnus the Swan, is the star Gamma Cygni. The area around this star is rich in hydrogen gas, and has a fair amount of ionized oxygen and sulfur as well.

I've struggled with this image for many months not being happy with any of the renditions. I've tried Hubble, Synthetic RGB, CFHT, and even a completely novel palette. Eventually I went back to Hubble, and this image came out of my last attempt. I think I'm content that his is a reasonable rendering of this data.
