Well we are having so many clear nights here in the UK it is just amazing

But ... only three hours really dark enough to image

I continue with my exploration of the Cygnus region with the Redcat51

This image is very noisy ... I don't know why, used all same equipment , same settings , guiding about the same , temp about the same - but much noisier than some other recent of same area of sky

Looking confused but hey ho - any one got any thoughts ?

I tried to pull out the tiny bit of blue which NGC 6914 in any case

Wiki tells us ....

NGC 6914 is a reflection nebula located at approximately 6,000 light-years away in the constellation of Cygnus, and was discovered by Édouard Stephan on August 29, 1881.[3] Ultraviolet radiation from stars in the Cygnus OB2 association ionize the nebula's hydrogen.[2]

Description: Tried to get rid of some of the blue colour noise

Description: Started from scratch and used Topaz Denoise AI to combat the horrible noise in the data plus liberal use of camera raw denoise in photoshop ... much better than the original version I think but still best viewed at a distance :)

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
