The UK has seen some shocking weather in 2023 only now since the middle of May are we finally being treated to some clear skies! I have had a couple weeks now where I have been able to get out and image. I am also glad to have the Redcat back out as its been sitting in a dark dusty corner during galaxy season. The first image I shot a dark nebula (image to come), but this was my second choice the famous Cygnus Wall. I love this area of the sky there is so much going on I will keep coming back year after year.
This is also another first for me I drizzled this image 2x and I can really tell the difference why I have not explored this avenue before I do not know, however this is going to be the norm going forwards. As I am undersampled on the Redcat and 1600mm pro I am able to do this. I did however have to then resample in PI to get it down the the 25mb threshold that my Astrobin subscription allows
This was captured over two nights in Ha, Oii and Sii. I also used PI new SPCC process on my narrowband data. I only took a few steps here trying to keep it as minimal as possible. SPCC, DBE, BlurXterminator, NoiseXterminator, EZ soft stretch, Starnet 2, Small curves boost on contrast and saturation, Pixel match the stars back and Dynamic Crop.
Total integration was 8.75 hours. Thanks for looking. Its good to be back
