Description

On the suggestion of a colleague I added an hour of Blue to the HOO image; 1 hour's worth of 60s subs at Gain 18 Offset 10, which was mapped to the Blue channel in PixInsight's PixelMath. The Red and Green channels were mixed as follows: Red, 10% OIII + 90% HA; Green, 60% OIII + 40% Blue.

The intent was to bring out the nebulosity in the vdB objects [bright "stary-looking things in center and upper left], and improve star color. That seemed to work pretty well, though I would like to get it more blue and less magenta. Have not yet sussed that trick in PS. Nonetheless, it's an interesting change from the straight HOO image.
