Description

Behold the Sadr region! First time imaging this region and I am very surprised with the complexity of this region. I had never realised how much dark nebulosity there is in that region until I looked at my data. Its now honestly one of my favorite images that I processed yet.

For the calibration, I used bias instead dark flats. Most of the info I read about the 294MC-Pro advises to use dark flats instead of bias frames and aim for 25k ADU for the flats. I decided to try aiming for 15k ADU and use bias frames instead. I compared the results with flats at 25k and dark flats, and there is basically no difference. So from now on, i'll just use my master bias and skip the dark flats step!

A lot of folks just repeat what they read without actually trying it...

A bit of wiki info on that region: the Sadr Region is the diffuse emission nebula surrounding Sadr (γ Cygni) at the center of Cygnus's cross. The Sadr Region is one of the surrounding nebulous regions; others include the Butterfly Nebula and the Crescent Nebula. It contains many dark nebulae in addition to the emission diffuse nebulae.
