Description

Milky Way over the Sciliar (Dolomites), Schlerngruppe.
Canon 6D mark I unmodded, Tamron 15-30 G1 @ 15mm, f/5.6, iso 3200.

It was a huge emotion to shoot the Milky Way in this amazing place.
The Sciliar is a group of mountains of the Dolomites; the taller peak in the picture reaches 2457 meters.
The image was shoot at 1800 meters during a night with humidity near 100% (never seen something like this, the bags were all wet like if it was raining).

This image is what I saved from a timelapse who failed: the huge lens in vertical position little by little pulled down the camera from the bar, so slowly I could not realize that but fast enough to ruin the timelapse. I solved later the problem using a L-Bar on the camera, who holds the body of the camera on the side too.

Luckly many shots were good to be stacked in this image, which give me back the positive feelings of that night, so I can't complain of that problem anymore.
It shows the majestic peaks and moreover the power of the Milky Way.

Thanks for watching.
