Description

[EN] Still work in progress but the rainy weather keeps me from shooting extra light frames so consider this picture as a preview. Messier 81 was discovered by Johann Elert Bode on 31 Dec 1774 and is often referred to as Bode's Galaxy. It can be found at 11.6 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Ursa Major.  

[NL] Door het regenachtige weer slaag ik er niet in om extra licht frames te fotograferen, dus beschouw deze foto als een preview, work in progress. Messier 81 werd ontdekt door Johann Elert Bode op 31 december 1774 en wordt vaak Bode's Galaxy genoemd. Het object is te vinden op 11,6 miljoen lichtjaar van de aarde in het sterrenbeeld Grote Beer.
