Description

I've been working on a widefield nebula project, but one that sets at around 2:00 AM my time, so I was left wondering what to make use of my night sky between 2AM and dawn. Since there are no emission nebula targets I can get from my backyard then, I thought I'd take a stab at a galaxy - and also try doing LRGB.

So this little M101 is actually an HaLRGB, though I'm not sure that I did this correctly. My L layer is a 3:1 blend of straight luminance with H-alpha.
