Description

The last two nights belonged to the galaxy discoverd by Mr Bode in 1774. The image is okay, but lacks a bit information near the core and - generally speaking - in red and blue. I think i will add some lights taken with a filter giving me more Halpha data if i have another clear night. Operating the RC again after using my refractor is a bit harder - i am doing this for about three years, but the long FL of 1,6 meters is not easy to handle for me. But in return the FoV is nearly perfect for this galaxy. So i need to practice, practice and practice!

[Edit]: In image B i added about 5 hours of data taken with the NB1 to add more photons from the H-regions. Also i processed this image more aggressively, especially when it comes to saturation. But i did not stretch so hard like in the original version, thanks to Mike Feigenbaum for pointing this out. The core remains too bright, but the arms look nicer in my eyes.

[Edit2]: Reprocessed with more saturation in image C.
