Description

Another one of my favorite objects, NGC6888 is formed by the stellar winds of WR 136 colliding with the slower moving stellar winds from this star when it became a red giant 250,000 to 400,000 years ago.  Because it is nestled right in the constallation of Cygnus, there is plenty of beautiful nebulosity surrounding the crescent.  I wanted to feature that nebulosity, explaining (I hope) my unconventional framing around the object.  I always liked the Crescent in HOO, but I really dislike HOO star colors, so I decided to shoot RGB stars and include them in the image.

It's great to have my TOA-150 back up and running again.  This is my first complete image taken from the amazing skies of the Sierra Remote Observatories.
