Description

Tycho is certainly one of the most impressive craters on the moon. He has always fascinated me with his characteristic ray system, which forms long spokes that reach as long as 1500 kilometers. It is one of the Moon's brightest craters, with a diameter of 85 km (53 mi) and a depth of 4,800 m (15,700 ft). Further to the south is the mighty crater Clavius with its distinctive secondary craters.

After a whole month without any starry night, I had to take the first opportunity to set up my telescope. I wanted to start my first attempt to create a moon mosaic.

„Of course”, this recording session ended quickly, as so often when clouds moved in. I'm slowly wondering whether astrophotography is the right hobby here near Cologne when other colleagues present a new picture almost every day.
