This wide field view of the region around the Heart Nebula (IC1805) was captured using an 85 mm/F1.4 Rokinon camera lens. This is my first image using this lens and I'm pretty happy with it so far. I really like wide field views with multiple DSOs and this focal length combined with the APS-C sensor on my Nikon D5300 gives me an ~15x10 degree FOV (I can just fit the main 'body' of Orion on the sensor). The big trick for me remains the horrendous light pollution from my backyard and I had to crop the original image down significantly and still have issues bringing out the faint nebulousity in these targets.
Imaged with 85mm/F1.4 Rokinon at F/4, IDAS LPS D1 Clip Filter, and full spectrum modified Nikon D5300.

Pre-processed using PixInsight Batch Pre-Processing (BPP) script. Images calibrated using darks, bias, and flats. Stacked 141 subs (120 sec at ISO 200) for a total integration time of ~4.5 hours. Post-processed in Pixinsight: Cropped, gradient removal with ABE (multiple applications), MLT for noise reduction, Photometric Color Calibration, stretched using masked stretch, further stretch using a mask generated using Starnet process and histogram transformation to try and bring out the nebulousity, ACDNR for noise reduction, Morphological Transformation to shrink stars, and Local histogram transform.
