Description

NGC 2264 Située dans la constellation de la Licorne est un large et
brillant amas ouvert d'une vingtaine d'étoiles formant un
triangle associé à une nébuleuse diffuse. Dans la partie sud de l'amas
se trouve la nébuleuse du cone aussi appelée "la quille".
La distance de cet ensemble est de 2600 années-lumière et s'étend sur 20 min d'arc.
