Description

Image of Messier 55 (M55 or NGC 6809), also known as the Summer Rose Star, a globular cluster located in the constellation Sagittarius.
The cluster has an apparent magnitude of 7.42 and lies at a distance of 17,600 light years from Earth.

This LRGB-image was captured with the Planewave CDK24 telescope and FLI PL9000 camera from Telescope Live in El Sauce Observatory, Chile.
Total exposure time: 375 minutes
