Description

QHY23, piggyback over an AVx mount, no guiding, 60 x 45 sec subs. Lens Canon 50 mm f/1.8 Mark I.

This globular cluster - most probably the remaining core from a little galaxy gobbled by the Milky Way eons ago - is staggering, bright and big, as in Moon big! Amazing how hundreds of stars poke from it.

I just do not thought about it, but there is a guest in the image: Centaurus A (NGC 5128), top left, nicely visible, including the dark central lane of dust. No big feat, it is the fifth brightest galaxy in the sky, so, here it is!
