Description

I have accumulated 9 hours of L and 7.5 hours of RGB between 5-2-2021 to 5-7-2021.

L : 27 X 1200"

RGB: 15 X 600" each

The M85 is 60 million light years away, about 20+ times as far as the Andromeda Galaxy, and it is probably one of the most beautiful elliptical galaxies out there with intriguing layers, a great contrast to its companion spiral galaxy NGC 4394. It is a little challenging to tease out the very faint outer layer even with 9 hours of L data. There are also a couple beautiful distant galaxy clusters in the background.
