Description

Sh2-129, or the Flying Bat nebula, is an emission nebula approximately 1300 light-years away from Earth, in the constellation Cepheus.

Ou4, or the Giant Squid nebula, is about 2300 light-years away from Earth and discovered lately in 2011 by Nicolas Outters, an amateur astronomer. It represents a spectacular outflow driven by HR8119, a triple system of hot, massive stars seen near the center of the nebula. The truly giant Squid Nebula would physically be nearly 50 light-years across.

On a more personal note. I haven't figured out the issue with my refractor yet, the combination of focuser tilt and reducer spacing is making it a bit harder, and somehow confusing. In any case, I've moved my setup back to my balcony, which makes it easier to image any day the sky is clear, but with the limitations of the balcony roof and the city's light pollution.

As always, I am undecided by two outcomes. A more natural one, and the one I like.
