Description

Object type : spiral galaxy

Distance : 52 million lightyears

This photo was taken during a bright moon not far away, nevertheless I wanted to try to shoot this galaxy. I am happy for now with this picture, a lot better than my first photo of this object. With my next photo of this object, I want the faint arms to be more visible.

At the top you can see galaxy NGC3729.

At the left of NGC3718, you can see a small group of galaxys, called 'Hickson Group 56'. These galaxys are lying about 400 million lightyears from earth.
