Description

Just a little smaller than the Milky Way, this bright galaxy in Leo was missed by Charles Messier. No matter, it's just as good of an object and is left often seen thanks to his omission.

This is my image *mostly* completed with the QHY600M. About 30% of the RGB subs were from the 16803 camera but CCDStack weighted those at only 15% the SNR of the QHY600M so they were largely lost in the integration.

The IMX455 chip is truly amazing. Noise levels are extremely low and reveal structure in the low brightness areas that were lost in 16803 images. Also, one thing I did not expect was the almost complete lack of cosmic ray hits on the IMX455 subs.
