Description

NGC 1935 Nebula

Description:
- The NGC 1935 Nebula is 160 thousand light years away and is located in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) (like the Tarantula Nebula).
- The LMC is one of our closest galaxies outside the MIlky Way. In a dark sky area, it is visible to the naked eye at night as a "cloud" to the side of the Milky Way. The Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), another galaxy, is visible as a smaller "cloud" near the LMC.
- This Nebula is approx. 916 light years across.

Details:
- Captured on 01-May-22.
- Celestron Edge 11 (280mm aperture, focal length 2800mm, f/10), ZWO ASI1600MM Pro camera (cooled to -10 DegC),
- EQ8Rh Pro mount, ASIair.
- Quick capture.
- 1x 600sec capture of each of H, O and S narrowband images, using Astrodon filters (30 mins).
- No calibration frames.
- Processed in PixInsight and Topaz Sharpen AI.
- Image size and resolution reduced for Facebook.
