Description

I've been wanting to put my iOptron Skyguider Pro back to work as a portable imaging rig to use in dark sky locations.  I got a good deal on an old but legendary 1980's lens (Nikon 180mm f/2.8 ED Ai-S) and wanted to give it a test run.  Conditions were not ideal (bad seeing, 3/4 moon, and no filters) but at least it was clear.  The stars didn't turn out great in the corners at f/2.8 so I may try taking star images at f/4 and use f/2.8 for the nebulosity.  Overall I like the wide-field look as it provides more context for the named objects we tend to focus on.
