Description

This was intended as a field test for the new Chilescope's T5 telescope, however the subject choice probably wasn't a wise one. Still, a test is a test is a test. Truth is I was itching to have a go at this nebula for quite some time (and all previous attempts resulted a neat zero) that I jumped at it once I had a choice. Plus, I would be testing the LRGB response of the new system. End result isn't too satisfying, possibly because of teething issues with what is tricky telescope to set up. This said, I'll probably restrict my usage to NB imaging. These two semi-circular halos at the upper left and right corners look very much like some off-axis reflections from the corrector (different size for different filters). Add to that I somehow expected a bit more from an 8" f/3 system. Well, at least I didn't wasted a lot of dosh on it! Given the limitation of exposure, overall quality of the L frame and the interloping satellite I decided that the middle way is the best way to downsized so the release image is 50% of the original one, not that the actual resolution is going to suffer anyways...
