NGC 7023 Iris Nebula This past November (2021) A group of us headed to West Texas under B1 skies for 9 wonderful nights and imaged. Iris nebula while being bright persay at 6.8 magnitude is very much a challenge from light polluted skies to capture the amazing dust surrounding it and in the region.

This image only has about 9 hours of data and I definitely plan to add considerably more time to it from those wonderful Bortle 1 light pollution free skies in Texas.

This is my edit from a Collaboration of data acquisition under Bortle 1 skies at the Shurley Ranch in Marfa, Texas, November 2021, by Dawn Lowry, Gian Lorenzo Ferretti, Ewa Pasiak and Terry Felty.

Scope: TS photoline 107mm and ASI294MC for color and a Skywatcher Esprit 120 with ASI294mm for Lum
Frames: Astrodon Lum Gen 2 98 frames @180sec each frame. And then 79 frames for color @ 180sec each with UV/IR cut filter from ZWO
