Description

NGC 3359 is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation of Ursa Major. It lies about 49 million light years from Earth.

Date: Mar 2017 and Jan 2018 data collection, Mar 2020 processing

Location: Blue Mountain Vista Observatories,New Ringgold PA

Optics: Starizona Hyperion f/8 12.5 inch, FL 2540 mm on Paramount ME

Camera: Apogee U8300

Guiding: ST-402 on Innovations Foresight On-Axis Guider and STL-11000 Self guiding

Exposure: LRGB: L:35x20 min R:21x10 min, G:33x10 min, B:32x10 min for a total of 26 hrs (121 subs at avg of 774 sec)

Processing: Image acquisition using CCD Autopilot. Initial processing was done using Maxim DL with subsequent processing with Photoshop.
