Description

I didn't think this object would be within reach at my location since Antares only gets about 20 degrees above the horizon, but I wanted to try anyways. This is a stack of 138 light frames at 90 seconds each, 30 darks, 30 flats, and 30 dark flats. Shot with Ha-modded Canon 600D, Skyguider Pro, and Rokinon 135mm f/2 lens. It was a challenge to pull the light gradients out of the image since it was so low and there's hardly any areas of empty sky background in this region.

Calibrated/stacked in APP with final tweaks in GIMP.

C&C welcome!
