Description

My 10Micron mount has been sitting dormant for about 11 months while I've been playing with the Rainbow Astro mounts. I love their ease of use and portability. But yesterday I decided to load up all the software on to my telescopes computer for the 10Micron. I did a 9 star polar align, then a 40 point model. Total RMS was .34 for the night. There's not a lot of targets for me at the moment that provide a full night of imaging. Most of the larger galaxies are about 80° altitude already, so I picked a tried and true target. Funny thing is, the last time I had the 10M mount out, I also imaged M13, but with my 11" EdgeHD scope and ASI6200MM-Pro camera. With this version of M13, I shot it using the EdgeHD 8" and the ASI2600MM-Pro camera. It's interesting to see the final image field of view. The EdgeHD 11" image was shot with the .7 reducer, and this new rendition was done without a reducer on the 8". So this is native focal length 2032mm at F10.
