Description

As my workhorse (Canon EOS 60Da) broke down a couple of weeks ago (seemingly as a result of connecting it - for the very first time - via its USB port to a laptop), and as I am still waiting for a new Canon EOS 80D to be astro-modified, I revised my "old" data still residing untouched on my hard disk.

About one year ago, I started on AB showing my very first astrophotos of DSOs, in particular presenting some single shots of the Milky Way originating from last year's summer vacation on Crete/Greece.

As processing skills have evolved a bit since then and stacking subframes has become quite a familiar process now, I would like to present some of these stacked Milky Way images from 2019. However, please take into consideration that all these Milky Way images had been taken with a very basic "vacational" setup, i.e. a tripod, the camera body, and a lens, thus no tracking nor guiding, consequently allowing only a very limited exposure time. Unfortunately, the stars are somewhat egghead, the deformations being quite strong particulary along the left-hand edge of the frame.

Thanks for looking. Your comments/criticism are always welcome.
