Description

Aurora Borealis from Statesville, North Carolina on May 10th, 2024 during the Great G5 Auroral Storm. Best Aurora of my life. It was incredible, with greens, reds, pinks, & purples. There was a tremendous Sars Arc. There was corona and curtains and it lasted a couple of hours. Operated the Canon 60Da astrocamera with the 14mm lens while I used the 40D with the 8mm fisheye. Aurorlink pass through the Sars Arc.ra was visible in all the cardinal directions, including in the south.  That's the Moon in the center of the image.
We also watched an ISS pass through the aurora and a starlink pass.

Some people like to find water for their Aurora images to reflect in. Not having that option I placed the tripos next to my white vehicle so the hood and windshield would reflect the brightly colored lights.
