Milky Way Center 40mm

My image of this beautiful area of the night sky. Our galaxy is really stunning, and its complex structures are invisible for most observers, in the Northern Hemisphere. As this image was taken from a latitude of 22º S, the Center of our galaxy really shines in the zenith, at it is a spectacular sight for observing. At first, that set of images should have been 10, but, due to an error of my mount (probably batteries drained) I got only 4 correctly tracked images (180" is the longest I have gone with my EQ3-2 and a 40mm Lens); and some images non-tracked, as if they were on a fixed tripod. The lattest, became a Star trails image, posted here some days ago. Taken during last New Moon, Bortle Scale 3 or 4; VLM around 6.4. Taken from MG, Brazil. Thanks for seeing.

T4i (unmodded) with 40mm STM Lens, at f/3.5 and ISO 800. Only 4 x 180" or 4x3 minutes.

Minha imagem dessa linda região do céu. Nossa galáxia é realmente incrível, e suas estruturas complexas são invisíveis para a maioria dos observadores, no Hem. Norte. Como essa imagem foi tirada de do Hem Sul (22ºS), o Centro da Galáxia realmente brilha próx. ao Zênite, uma região espetacular para se observar. No início, este set de fotos deveria ter 10, mas, devido a um erro de minha montagem, consegui apenas 4 fotos acompanhadas (180s é o mais tempo mais longo que consegui com a EQ3-2 e a 40mm); e algumas fotos não-acompanhadas, como se estivessem em tripé fixo, o que gerou um Star Trails, postado aqui alguns dias atrás. Tirada durante a última Lua Nova, Bortle 3 ou 4, Mag. Vis. Limite aprox. 6.4. Tirada de MG, Brasil. Obrigado por ver.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status.
