Description

Caroline's Rose - NGC 7789[EN] Many deepsky objects have been discovered in the 18th century by the astronomer William Herschel. This object though has been discovered  by his sister Caroline. As the structure seen in a small telescope looks a bit like a rose, seen from above, it is know as Caroline's Rose. The object is at 8000 light years distance from the Earth and can be found in the constellation Cassiopeia.
