Description

I'll probably be updating this with more data soon. I shot half with the M&S and half with the Optolong L-eNhanced filters. I ccombined these versions early to get more signal during processing.

This is a very hard object to process. Fortunately Starnet ++ gave a very clean starless version, so I could get pretty aggressive with the processing without worrying about messing up the stars.

The Starless version was de-noised with Topaz De-noise which can distort the stars when used to its fullest capability. I then overlayed the smoothed nebula onto a difference image that was stars only.

Description: Practicing with PixInsight masks. They are easier than PS masks but the curves in Pix are quite primitive compared to PS.
