Description

I've been imaging this galaxy in a few imaging sessions, first one dating back to 2018. It is not well known or imaged. The most interesting description of it and surrounding field I found on late Rick Johnson's webpage: https://images.mantrapskies.com/catalog/NGC/NGC6015/

NGC 6015 has low surface brightness. It is between 55 and 66 LY distant.

Very peculiar wedge-shaped small galaxy in upper left corner, which can be confused with a comet.

Discovered by W. Hershel in 1788.
