Description

A huge project I undertook in March. With the curfew, I couldn't go out for astronomy, so when I saw 4 reasonable nights in a row, I decided I'd set up on the sidewalk under a street light and shoot the moon on the other side of the suburban boulevard, and I'd make multiple mosaics of the Moon! This project used up almost 500GB of disk space, and consumed a full week of my life: capture at night and stack all day!

Each moon is a mosaic of 7, 10, 11 and 12 panels, and each panel at 1920x1080 pixels. For each night, I stacked 500, 2000, 4000 and 4000 frames per panel (changed/increased from night to night). Oh and if you ever try this, expect field rotation, I probably spent a full afternoon just rotating every single panel for every moon!

Enjoy!
