Description

I took the exposures of this object across several nights in November while waiting for another one to rise.  It wasn't even my primary target, but I'm pleased with how it turned out.

I’ve always thought this object looks like a lion, at least in this orientation.

I last shot this object in 2014, and I’ve come a long way since then in my processing. I guess I’ll have to schedule my next appointment with the Lion for 2028. Bonus points if you can spot the tiny blue planetary nebula at center-right! (It’s known as PN G101.5-00.6.)
