Description

NGC 7822 is a young star forming region in the constellation Cepheus and is 2,900 light-years from Earth. The emission region is designated Sharpless 171 (Sh 2-171) and the cluster of stars is Berkley 59. This area also includes one of the hottest stars discovered this "close" to our Sun which has a surface temperature of 45,000 K and a luminosity 100,000 times that of the Sun.

I had previously imaged a small portion of this nebula, but this image is a 4-panel mosaic to encompass the entire object, and I believe the processing is far better than what I did before.
