Description

Witchhead Nebula in the constellation Eridanus

The Witchhead Nebula is a collection of interstallar dust, which is illuminated by neighboring star Riegel. The blue color results from a comparable effect as the blue coloration of the terrestrial sky (if times visible without clouds 😏).

Unfortunately, the poor seeing of the last days takes away some of the depth of the image. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with the result considering the environmental influences.
